If I was magically transported to a deserted island, what three things would I take with me?
1) my bible with a pen attached
2) my piano
3) my husband :)
So, those are the first three things that popped into my mind... and now that I look back at them, well, they aren't the smartest of choices when it comes to survival. I mean a gps, satellite phone, and a pocket knife would probably come in more handy.
However, I said my bible because it is my number one source of comfort and joy, plus if I didn't have any sort of reading material on a deserted island I think I would go mad. I would have to bring a pen ( even if I knew the ink would run out eventually) because writing keeps us human.
I said my piano because I could not imagine life without music. And well, if I was on an island with no one else I would have A LOT of time to spare to make up songs and sing my little heart out.... plus music keeps good company....
And lastly, I said my husband, simply because I love him and I want to experience this life with him even if we ended up on a deserted island together. At least we would be together.
The following verse we dedicated to each other when we got married:
"Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. 17Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the LORD do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you." ~Ruth !:16-17
I would love to hear what others would bring with them... feel free to comment. :)

Ok, if we are thinking top 3 things...not necessarily top logical things, I would pick my kids and husband, and music....
Food water and sunscreen....I have always wanted to stay on a deserted island.
Miss your blog...hope all's ok.
